Working in Antioch
Antioch is where we are based, and it is the majority of our work. Being local is not a marketing line here — it is the difference between a site visit this week and a site visit whenever a crew is next routed through East County.
The housing stock splits cleanly. Neighborhoods north of Lone Tree Way include a lot of homes built before the 1980s, many still on original electrical service that was never intended to carry a modern household, let alone an EV and a heat pump. The newer subdivisions south and east generally have healthier service but were built to a builder's minimum, which is a different constraint.
Summer is the other factor. East County heat drives air conditioning hard from June through September, and that is exactly when PG&E's peak time-of-use rates bite hardest. It is the clearest case in our whole service area for pairing solar with storage: produce at midday, spend it through the late-afternoon peak instead of buying it back at the highest rate of the day.
